MATROX CERTIFIES HUGEMEDIAVAULT™
FOR USE WITH DIGISUITE FAMILY OF PRODUCTS
Disk Array Tested and Approved for Use in
Real-Time Editing Systems
(February 1, 2002 - Marina del Rey, CA) Huge Systems, an innovative manufacturer of high performance, low cost Ultra 160 RAID 0/3 Storage Solutions for real-time SDTV and HDTV applications, is proud to announce that the HugeMediaVault-180-DualMax has been certified by Matrox Video Products Group for use with their DigiSuite family of editing and content creation systems.
The HugeMediaVault family of storage products is available in both single and dual channel models with total on-line storage of up to 1.2 TeraBytes (1200 GB). The products offer sustained bandwidth of over 100 MegaBytes (MB) per channel, resulting in a total bandwidth of over 200 MB/second for the dual controller models. At these rates, HugeMediaVault can be used for real-time HDTV and SDTV applications.
Matrox’s certification process involved a number of tests combining the HugeMediaVault-180-DualMax with the DigiSuite family of products. By giving their certification, Matrox confirms that the product performs at the level required to meet the demanding needs of their real time systems. DigiSuite customers can now purchase storage systems from Huge Systems with full confidence that the combined solution will operate properly.
