PEAK SYSTEMS
ENDORSES SILICON GRAPHICS' NEW WINDOWS NT-BASED WORKSTATIONS
Everest 3D Live to
Air Real-Time Graphics System for Broadcasters Will be Available
at New Price Points
(Munich, January 11, 1999) PEAK Systems announces its endorsement of Silicon Graphics' new family of Intel and Windows NT-based workstations. PEAK Systems expects the new systems to enable the delivery of Everest 3D real-time graphics system to new market segments within the broadcasting community. The NT systems offer previously unavailable combinations of price and performance for real-time graphics applications, making Everest affordable for any broadcaster.
Andy Johnston, Director of Peak Systems, said "There has been a market demand for Everest at a lower price point, while still offering live to air high quality graphics. The new Windows NT systems provide PEAK Systems with a solution for this tier of our market. Since Everest will operate the same way across all platforms we support, customers will be able to use a family of systems for differing graphics needs while keeping the same operator interaction".
